Candy Bar Inspired Party

This beautiful Candy Bar Party was styled by the lovely Courtney Price is the owner of Glamour Avenue Parties - an award winning event design boutique specializing in stylish children's party decor and mobile spa parties for girls for Catherine's 10th Birthday.

Ten year old Catherine wanted a colourful Candy Bar inspired spa party.  Courtney was thrilled to oblige as there are so many creative directions you can go with a fun theme like this! So with the request to make it as colourful as possible she set about finding the most colourful products she could find!!!

There is a very fine balance to styling a colourful party and keeping it sophisticated. To keep the look fun and not too busy Courtney used fresh, white tablecloths and chairs and vibrant chevron placemats to showcase the colour. The place settings included the supplies for the facial application activity, sweets, and plastic beverage containers with Dylan's Candy Bar inspired tags. She also kept the centerpiece simple and easy by using chocolate dipped marshmallows with pretty labels.

Courtney used candy inspired dots and swirly lollipops at the main table, which doubles as the facial station. To carry on the candy inspiration she used colourful gumballs at the make up station, which looked gorgeous against the pool backdrop. The entire party made the guests long for the lazy days of summer and poolside activities.

For activities at the party, the girls made gumball rings and necklaces, as well as having their nails painted, and make up application in bright candy colors. The girls took home gumball rings and necklaces and tons of other candies from the candy bar.

Update from H&C Stylish Kids Party Pack's Shop

Well I have had a very exciting week!!! I now have my very own shop on Esty - HCStylishkidsparties!!!  This is where you can buy lots of party goodies and party packs to help you with planning the perfect party or event.

My aim when starting this business was to source party products for people who don't have the know how or the time to spend endless hours walking around the shops or searching the internet to find the best product!  With enough notice my aim is to order the party products that you want for your party to make your next event special and keep the cost down. More bang for your buck so to speak!

I am in the process of putting together a pirate party pack with super cute pirate flags which I am teaming with red and white stripe cups and plates and black and white straws. If you would like to add or take away anything out of a party pack you see let me know!!!

 

 

 

If we don't have a party pack that suits you, then send me a message or email me to discuss what you need and I can give you a quote.  If you are not sure about what type of party you would like to hold I can help with Ideas and for a small fee can send you a party plan and ideas to help you implement them for your party!

New products in store include Zebra print straws and Zebra print cupcake cases which goes perfectly with a hot pink Zebra theme party.

 

Other animal prints available include a black and white cow print theme. Personally this is one of my favourite themes as you can do a cowboy or cowgirl theme or a barnyard theme. 

I also love pink and these beautiful pink and white spot lanterns would make any party look beautiful. This is a very classic theme and can be incorporated into any event! Best of all the lanterns are reusable which I love!

Currently I am organising a purple 40th party for a lovely lady and we have ordered these lovely lanterns. We also are going purple polka dot which is very cute.

Maybe it is my obsession with cupcakes.....

Maybe it is my obsession with cupcakes or maybe my sweet tooth but I believe cupcakes are a must at any party! No party would not be complete without them!  As I said before these days cupcakes are not complicated and works of art.  Now if you are an average Mum like myself who doesn't excel in the art of decorating like some it is sometimes easier to find someone who does! 

There are some very talented people who make the most delicious little treats you could hope to eat! I recently came across a very talented stay at home Mum in my area who has started an amazing cupcake business from home. Of course she does all the normal cupcakes that one would expect but she also does one of the cutest additions any event I have ever seen, have to be her beautiful cupcake bouquet. 

 

 

Nerissa from Simply Cupalicious is a stay at home mum who has a passion for cupcakes who has a home based cupcake, made to order business. What wonderful little treats to add to any party or to add a little indulgence to your next event.  All of Nerissa's cakes are made from scratch and only use the best and freshest ingredients.

Mummy Tree Markets

What a beautiful day I had with my family at the Mummy Tree Markets in Toowoomba the other weekend.  The Markets provide beautiful high quality, unique products and services which are not mass produced or easily found in shops. 



Most of the stallholders at the markets are stay at home mums who have created a business around their children and their talents. The beautiful talented Mummies have some lovely ideas and one off special products that you would find anywhere else and not mass produced.

What would a day at the markets be if there wasn't entertainment for the little ones! My little one loved the jumping castle and the dancing entertainment provided and wanted to get up on stage and join in.

The markets had lots of beautiful and tasty food which of course called for someone to taste test!! I was only to happy to be the taste tester and we ate cupcakes to fudge and enjoyed them all. We also had the most delicious wood fired pizza which was cooked in a specially modified wood fired oven in the back of a trailer!!! YUM YUM YUM!!!

After lunch we found a beautiful little stylish shoe store that called "Hey Skippy" owned by the lovely Michelle.

'Hey Skippy!' specialises in high quality, funky and affordable shoes!  They stock functional shoes for your little ones, providing arch support, breathable insoles and flex grooves for ease of movement, and incredibly light weight!  

I purchased a pair of shoes in the girls range.  It was a gorgeous pink polka dot on brown leather closed in toe.  I fell in love with them and they go with everything! Stunning! Just when I thought they couldn't get any cuter Michelle pulls out a choice of accessories to add to the straps!! We added a little lady bug to each shoe which were free when you bought the shoe!!
